This unique community gathering held in Harlem, commemorates the lives and work of African descendant–LGBTQA/SGL youth, elders, and allies. All too frequently African descendant-LGBTQA/SGL persons are denied celebration, honor, and inclusion within a variety of settings, due to the marginalizing shadow of race, class, and gender divides. It’s 2019 and we are celebrating several things this year. First of all, 2019 marks our Harlem Pride 10th Anniversary. It’s also the 100th Anniversary of the Harlem Renaissance and on top of that we’ll celebrate World Pride coming to NYC and Harlem as well as the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising.
