DOING CREATIVE ENGAGEMENT – Placemaking Part 2 with Jana La Sorte
May 14 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
RSVP required at www.nomaanyc.eventbrite.com Space is limited.
Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance (NoMAA), is pleased to present “Doing Creative Engagement,” with Ambassadora’s Jana La Sorte. She will focus on creative placemaking, the growing trend of artists and communities working together to grow stronger, functional and connected communities. The workshop will provide an overview, group discussion and time to create your own engagement ideas for your art/arts organizations as well as network for potential partners. Results of creative engagement include larger audiences; more donations and purchases; more committed supporters and funders; and energized citizens who sustain the ripple effect of involvement and fully understand the importance of local arts/artists. This workshop builds on the October 24 engagement workshop but all are welcome. Ideally artists engage in creative placemaking as (1) working in isolation does not help artists or communities; and (2) that’s increasingly where the funding opportunities are.
