Many artists exhibit their work throughout Washington Heights, Inwood and West Harlem during the Uptown Arts Stroll. Most of the venues are open during regular business hours, unless otherwise noted. Please contact the venues for the most current information.

Jennifer and Wade are known as “NYC Vinyl Dreams.” After spending too long in LA, the two moved to NYC, where they fell in love with the city. To celebrate their adoration for NYC, they create original vinyl artwork that reflects the simplicity and complexity of a 24-hour city. / Jennifer y Wade son conocidos como “NYC Vinyl Dreams”. Exhibition - Joy BrownJoy Brown on Broadway
Internationally known artist Joy Brown exhibits nine monumental bronze figures along Broadway. Rounded forms and natural materials of clay and bronze convey the heavy gravity of stone, while expressions and gestures transcend that weight, suggesting warmth and lightness. Three pieces in Northern Manhattan: 148th St – Sitters on Bench; 157th St – Animal with Rider; 166th St – Recliner with Head in Hand and Recliner on Side. Presented by the Broadway Mall Association, the Morrison Gallery, and NYC Parks.

Responding to the unique history, archives and architecture of Morris-Jumel Mansion, four artists will reinterpret archival objects into a site-specific installation. Paintings on vellum, ceramic objects, conceptual jewelry and prints will present a visual interpretation based on different avenues of research by each artist. This shifting focus addresses how histories drift over time and how certain historical narratives become prominent while others recede into obscurity. / Respondiendo a la historia única, los archivos y la arquitectura de Morris-Jumel Mansion, cuatro artistas reinterpretarán objetos de archivo en una instalación específica del sitio. Pinturas sobre pergamino, objetos de cerámica, joyería conceptual y grabados presentarán una interpretación visual basada en las diferentes vías de investigación de cada artista. Este enfoque cambiante aborda cómo las historias se desvían con el tiempo y cómo ciertos relatos históricos se hacen prominentes mientras que otros caen en la oscuridad.
