How to participate

Artists and venues (organizations, businesses, etc.) are invited to participate in the 2018 Uptown Arts Stroll. We encourage you to organize group events and exhibitions to reach a wider audience and network with your fellow artists.

Artists

Visual artists, singers, musicians, dancers, poets, theater groups, etc., in Washington Heights, Inwood and West Harlem are invited to participate in the 2018 Uptown Arts Stroll. To do so, please follow these simple steps:

  1. Identify potential venues updated for 2018 or find new venues on your own.
  2. Contact the identified venue(s) and make arrangements to host your event or exhibition during the month of June 2018.
  3. When you have booked a venue, let us know about the arrangements — send us the information using the submission form.

Printed Guide deadline, Friday April 20, 2018 Submit the form by the deadline and and your information will appear in the printed  2018 Uptown Arts Stroll Guide.  20,000 copies are distributed by The Manhattan Times and NoMAA borough wide. We will also add your information to the Exhibitions page or the Events Schedule on www.artstroll.com

NEW Online Guide deadline, Friday May 25, 2018 Forms submitted from April 21 – May 25 will appear only in the online guide  Exhibitions page or the Events Schedule on www.artstroll.com. 

IMPORTANT: For visual artists, artwork is exhibited at your own risk — venues are not responsible for artwork. For all participating artists, please ensure that your event details are clear with the venue. NoMAA is not responsible for booking venues.

Open Studios

Local artists will open their professional or home studios and give visitors a glimpse into their creative process during Open Studios, which are on Saturday June 9, 2018 1-6pm in Inwood (Fairview Ave to West 220th St) and Saturday June 16, 2018 1-6pm in West Harlem and Washington Heights (West 135th St to Fairview Ave).

To include your studio for visits, please fill out and submit the open studios listing form.
