Event Details

Amelia Boynton Robinson, who was portrayed in the Academy Award-wining movie “Selma,” will share her experiences of the Civil Rights Movement. In 1965 after she was beaten while leading a protest march in Selma, a photo of her lying unconscious on the bridge attracted the eyes of the world. Two weeks later Dr. King helped lead 25,000 protestors to Montgomery, paving the way for the passage of the Voting Rights Act. She will be interviewed by UPCA founder Xavier Eikerenkoetter during the United Palace House of Inspiration (UPHI) Sunday worship service. FREE EVENT. Details:
